This months tips for healthy eating~

1.Post workout recovery foods:

In the first one to two hours after training muscles take up carbohydrates at twice the normal rate. Having your  recovery snack within 30 mins of exercise will restore energy  and support the immune system.

2. Swapping:

Try swapping potatoes for sweet potatoes. They are high in viatamins A, C and B6 and folic acid and have a lower GI than regular spuds.

A handful of red grapes has

67 calories, 0.1 g of fat , 16.5 g carbs and 0.7 g of fibre.

SWAP FOR:

a handful of blueberries.

53 calories, 0.3g fat, 12.6 g carbs and 2.1 g fibre.

blueberries give you fibre and an antioxidant hit, plus scientists at the university of Reading, have found that eaten at elevenses, they also boost your concentration and memory by up to 20% until well after lunch.
